'Soul Journeys'

So...something other than the 'Death of...'!!!

On Saturday an awesome day was spent at Viv Routeldge, a TRE colleague's home,  there was a content filled and informative talk presented Dr Carel Bredell, a TRE session, snacks, and a collection of interesting like minded people...and a Labyrinth to walk...my kind of place:))

The talk by Dr Bredell was  titled 'The effects of Stress on the Gut - Brain Connection', and Wow!!! Lots of anecdotes, solid medical backed info and on how to keep the gut - brain connection at homeostasis, the latest research on this connection and so much more.

I came away with a sense of having been in the total dark as to the workings of these mechanisms and the utmost importance of looking after the process in a very cognitive way. And sorry to disappoint those latest 'fad' followers, none was mentioned. What was talked about was how if we spend a little time, use a little planning, and a whole lot of common sense it is relatively easy to have a healthy 'Gut - Brain Connection' that looks after your health for you, that's the mind blowing part right? Looks after your health...! and that includes mood and mental health also.

Viv gave a supportive, gentle and present TRE session which by listening to the participants afterwards in the 'mingle' part of the day was very well received and enjoyed.

I met great people, people I feel I can connect with, professionals, Complementary Health practitioners and some lovely animals.

Thanks for a great day Viv, and thanks for the talk Dr Bredell, fantastic.
